Location
the theater of the great migration
Located in the northern region of Serengeti National Park (Kogatende), Mara River Post overlooks the meandering Mara River.
It‘s here that one of nature‘s most intense spectacles takes place every year: the crossing of the river by hundreds of thousands of wildebeest during their Great Migration.
The camp is set in the middle of the savannah, far from the usual circuits, at the top of a hill in one of the meanders of the Mara River, offering direct and exclusive access to one of the best vantage points for observing African wildlife.
The environment is raw, sublime and vibrant, with acacia–lined rivers, moving herds and infinite skies.
Hosting
Total immersion in comfort
Mara River Post offers a series of sober yet elegant luxury tents. Set on wooden platforms, each has a private bathroom, a king–size bed and a terrace with a breathtaking view of the river or plains.
The design is inspired by classic East African safaris, with natural materials, warm textiles and local handicrafts. Here, the safari experience extends into the evening, under the stars and lulled by the sound of the river.
Activities
Facilities
Serving the essential
Each tent has a terrace, king–sized bed, private bathroom with shower, and is entirely solar–powered. The camp features a lounge with panoramic views, a canvas restaurant and a convivial bar.
Guided safaris are offered, as well as moments of peaceful observation along the river. Everything is designed to limit ecological impact: water management, waste sorting, local food and short supply chains.
Evenings around the fire, conversations with naturalist guides and the daily ballet of the animals are all part of the experience, between peaceful immersion and strong emotions.
